Classes

This class is a 6 week introduction to watercolor paints. No prior experience needed.Themes will include basic techniques and color mixing along with themes of nature, plants, fruits, and more. Included with the class will be materials necessary. The class will be held Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30. The instructor for the course is Isabel Maternowski who is artist from Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 2021 she graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Art and Design and a B.A. in Environmental Studies. Her two degrees have helped her forge unique ways to combine her passions into artwork. She has participated in Art Prize in 2025 and 2024 where her work "Home" finished in the top 100. She also sells her artwork at local shops including Oh Hello Paper Co. and Gifts and was a featured holiday artist at Stovetop Roasters for the past 3 months.
